Bacolod lass & SWU-MHAM Student Crowned Miss Mandaue 2015

Ena Louise Velasco,  a 22 year old medical student and sports enthusiast, didn’t let the fact that she wasn’t a heavily cheered on candidate faze her composure as she went on to be declared the 46th Miss Mandaue winner during the coronation night held Thursday evening at the Mandaue Sports Complex. The tallest among this year’s finalists at five-foot-nine, Velasco also snagged awards for Best in Fun Wear, Best in Runway, and Best in Evening Gown. Putting her height advantage to good use, she has been leading an active lifestyle with a stint as a former volleyball varsity player. She  also dabbles in softball, badminton, track and field, and has recently took up basketball.

Miss Mandaue1   An  aspiring doctor, who was crowned  Masskara  Queen 2012 and had joined  Miss Southwestern University 2014. From Bacolod  city native  already has  a Biology degree from the University of St. La  Salle. Q & A is her favorite part of a pageant. ” Respect.”  Velasco swiftly  replied. ” I believe  respect is the key to love, peace and honesty. With respect , we are able to do good to others  and achieve love, peace and  honesty.” Mayor Jonas Cortes and Cebu Governor Agnes Magpale were among the officials present at the pageant night, held on the eve of the city fiesta. Supporters official candidates filled the sports complex, waving balloons and photos of their bets.
