The MHAM CM topnotcher of the March 2017 Physician Licensure Examination, Dr. Maude Sang-an Tabigue, has been honored for having obtained 4th place on the occasion of the Oath Taking of New Physicians by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) through the Professional Regulatory Board of Medicine (PRBM) at the Plenary Hall, Philippines International Convention Center, Pasay City, Manila last April 24, 2017 in the afternoon.

Accompanied by the newly-appointed VP Academics Dr. Arlene Diaz, the PLE 4th placer was among the top ten performers in the country who received the honor and certificate of distinction during the Oath Taking.
“It was a great experience- to sit in front of all the inductees together with other topnotchers and to receive distinction from the Board of Medicine. During the ceremony, all the years of studying and all those challenges I came across to reach my dreams flashed back, and I felt blessed and rewarded. Indeed, you reap what you sow in this life”, said Dr. Tabigue.
As the PRC released its official result last March 16 this year, Dr. Tabigue garnered 87 percent passing rate while the MHAM CM earned 78 percent overall rate.
The Oath Taking of the Philippines’ new physicians was graced by the presence of PRBM former member, Dr. Restituto de Ocampo as the keynote speaker; PRC Chairman, Atty. Teofilo Pilando Jr.; PRBM member, Dr. Edgardo Fernando; PRBM members Arch. Angeline Chua Chiaco and Arch. Yolanda Reyes; PRBM Chairman, Dr. Clarita Maaño; PRBM member, Dr. Maria Graciela Gonzaga; and PRBM member, Dr. Eleonor Galvez.

Forever grateful: MHAM full scholar-topnotcher
“This is just the beginning and I feel more determined than ever to give my best to make a difference in the lives of people, as a physician”, added the MHAM topnotcher.
Six days prior to the Oath Taking in Manila, this MHAM product has been honored and commended by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Cebu for making Cebu City proud as she placed on the fourth spot in the recent PLE as resolved through a Resolution.
To date, Dr. Tabigue embarks another milestone in the medical field as she is serving her fellow Boholanos for a non-training period in a local hospital in Bohol, to become a bearer of hope to the sick as she always believed that doctors are God’s instruments of healing.
Undoubtedly, she is now at the career peak in reaching her dreams.
This year, the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation aced the board and ranked first among the top performing medical schools nationwide with 88.20 percent rating as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010.

The licensure examination was administered by the PRC on March 5, 6, 12 and 13 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Zamboanga and Cebu. Chaired by Dr. Clarita C. Maaño, the recent PLE was given by the members of the Board of Medicine which includes Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Miguel L. Noche Jr., Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Eleanor J. Galvez and Dr. Ma. Graciela Gonzaga.
Dr. Eleonor Almorio of the Professional Regulatory Board of Medicine was the master of ceremonies.
Meanwhile, the Oath Taking of the MHAM CM successful examinees’ of the March 2017 Physician Licensure Examination will be held at the Salon de España, Casino Español, Cebu City on the 11th of May this year. (Ana Liza Abao)
