Current Student Council Governor, Datu Nur-Jhun A. Salik in an interview said that the MHAM athletes had the best support during this year’s Medlympics.

“As the Student Council Governor, I am the over-all head both in sports and in MGMR activities. Aside from my main duty who presides over the meetings and bridges concern of the students to the administration, I made sure in acquiring higher proposal budget for the sport equipments being used during practices for the competition. Likewise, being the appointed committee chair for different events including food and transportation, it was overwhelming how the administration supported us in many aspects and the over-all support from co-students, the cheerers, the Asklepian circle, team captains and all the council officers. Indeed, the MHAMian spirit was visibly seen that made the teamwork more reassuring even if we may not be this year’s emerging champion”, said Salik.

Releasing the fire because WEAREMHAM…

On top of these, the MHAMDragons’ fighting spirit- rooted from the breathable dragon fire known as ‘Dracarys’ will always be ablaze with flames for the next season, aiming to dethrone the competitors not just for the game of thrones but to set as an example that a good sport means being a good winner as well as a good loser.

“With the way how the MHAM athletes displayed the true meaning of sportsmanship, I am more determined that the MHAMDragons will keep the fire burning next year but what matters most is that we enjoyed the moment and cherished the occasion of getting in touch with other medical students in the region”, Salik concluded.

The battle has begun and even without the aid of seasons, the MHAMDragons will always bring it on! (Ana Liza L. Abao)
