Season’s tradition: The Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree in MHAM
In today’s day and time where Christmas spirit fills the air, the MHAM College of Medicine commenced the season of love and thanksgiving with its Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree last November 24, 2017 at the MHAM Lobby at 4:30 in the afternoon to 6:30 in the evening.

Started with a thanksgiving mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Andy Satura, SDB, the annual tradition of lighting the Christmas tree marked another medical milestone and a year to remember bearing the tagline We Are MHAM.
In his homily, Fr. Satura reminded the faithful believers the importance of unity in the church and in the community aside from the external preparation during the holiday season.

Gladly participated by the faculty, non-teaching employees and students, a ceremonial program followed right after the Holy Mass with Christmas carols rendered by the MHARMONY.

MHAM HR Director, Mr. Pedro Pañares, also reminded everyone the relevance of the event and the reason of the season. “In behalf of the administration, I would like to welcome everyone in this yearly event in MHAM which is the lighting of the Christmas tree. This is to remind us that symbolism used lights to remind us that Jesus is the light of the world. Once again, welcome and be lighted as we light our Christmas tree”, said Pañares in his welcome address.

Meanwhile an audio video presentation made the event more meaningful which highlighted the various events of 2017 along with the MHAM memories which are worth remembering throughout the years.

Dr. Arlene Diaz gave her inspirational message while Dr. Ma. Socorro Manaloto’s signifying closing remark urged everyone to exercise a more meaningful expression of sharing and giving to our brothers and sisters who are in need.

Bearing the tagline We Are MHAM, there is so much to give thanks and to celebrate the birth of Christ the king, the redeemer of mankind.
