Major issues of concern such as fund assistance for the preparatory activities, working committees for the work load, resources, efficiency in disseminating the information and the approval of all the concerns were raised during the said meeting.
“It is in this concern that plans must be laid out as it entails a lot of collaboration, availability of resources and a working group to ensure this roadmap to its fruition”, said Prochina in his presentation.
The initiative is in line with the fervor to connect and strengthen a meaningful relationship between alumni and Alma Mater, with the help of technological portals as prime facilitators.
As an entry point for MHAM CM alumni into the Alma Mater, the school website and other social media including its Official Like Page can become a channel of information in engaging constant connectivity.
Using a model of trends and best practices in Alumni Associations, Prochina also emphasized that reevaluating membership models with strategic plan goals and long term preparations should be intensified in order to engage and involve alumni members.
Meanwhile, a concern was also raised of the confusion over the split of MHAM from SWU has created, which might lead to disorientation of events and other interests. However, preparations must be well-planned using key motivators in order to bridge the gap among confused MHAMian graduates.

Vision 20/20: A roadmap to the Grand Alumni Homecoming
Among the Proposed Plan of Actions includes the creation of The Golden Roll, a hard-bound book that will contain names of alumni with their complete details; the MHAM Conferment of Awards to Recognize Distinguished Service (CARDS) to be given to the alumni who have made exemplary and commendable achievement in their own chosen fields of endeavors; and the launching of “Dugo Mo, Kinabuhi Ko” blood donation project which will be highlighted with a “Kadugo Fun Run” with the help of the Cebu Media and the project collaborators.

A newsletter called, The Mavens, which will be published every six months is also on its way as a medium by which the alumni will be abreast of of the events, wherever they may be.
Moreover, there shall be fundraising projects such as the Annual Fundraiser Event to be facilitated by the Office for Alumni Relations and Services in collaboration of the MHAM Alumni Association Incorporated. To complete the grand preparations, the Matias H. Aznar Annual Memorial Cup and the Annual Bowl Fest are among the lists to add color and fun for the celebrations.
The setting up of a directory of products and services managed by the Alumni known as the Alumni Connecting Common Opportunities to Resource Development (ACCORD) Project, will establish a discount benefit package for all MHAM alumni, faculty, employees and students as well.
A fellowship party called, The Mavens Ball, will also be held in honor of graduating students together with their respective parents, which will lead to a project aimed to enlist as many MHAM alumni, known as, Medical Professional Licensure Examinations Operations (MED OPS).
The preparations for the Grand Alumni Homecoming as one of the major projects to be collaborated by the entire MHAM working committees are focusing their efforts on market-related activities towards a lifetime relationship among alumni members across the globe, from batches 1970 to 2020.
